ABC’s The Bachelor Season 29, Episode 2 premiers tonight, Monday February 3, at 8 p.m. ET.
Following last week’s season premiere, 18 women remain in the competition for 31-year-old day trader Grant Ellis’s heart.
Tonight’s episode will feature the first round of dates, including the season’s first one-on-one with Alexe, a 27-year-old pediatric speech therapist from New Brunswick, Canada. Alexe, who received the coveted first impression rose on night one, also secured the first one-on-one date — a tradition that had been abandoned in recent seasons of The Bachelor.

From the start, the purple team, ‘Grant Prize,’ dominates the game, surging ahead with an 8-0 lead by halftime. It’s intense, with several contestants sacrificing their manicures in the heat of competition.
Though the yellow team, ‘Grant Slam,’ manages to score a single basket before the final buzzer, ‘Grant Slam’ secures the victory.
Chloie, a 27-year-old model from New York, N.Y., is crowned MVP, and celebrates her win with a kiss from Grant.
The group date returns to the mansion — 8:15 P.M. ET
Back at the mansion after the date, Grant invites Chloie back to the court for a private champagne toast and conversation, giving her even more one-on-one time following her MVP win.
Meanwhile, tensions rise inside as the rest of the women confront Zoe for interrupting the group date by pulling Grant aside.
Later in the evening, Natalie, a 25-year-old Ph.D. student from Louisville, Ky., gets her chance for one-on-one time with Grant. The two bond over their shared hope of starting a family in the future.
Grant then pulls Juliana, a 28-year-old client service associate from Newton, Mass., aside. After a physically intense game that left her with several broken nails, Juliana finds comfort in Grant’s reassurance as they share a quiet moment together.
Back at the mansion, the girls fight for time with Grant — 8:20 P.M. ET

The rest of the girls comment on how Zoe’s behaviour is unfair. Nonetheless, Zoe and Grant connect further and discuss emotional vulnerability. Grant comments that there is “definitely a spark” between them.
Frustrated by Zoe’s repeated interruptions, Alli Jo, a New Jersey native, takes matters into her own hands, cutting in to steal Grant for a private chat. But after just a few minutes, Zoe returns and reclaims him once again.
When the two finally rejoin the group, Alli Jo confronts Zoe in front of the other women, calling her out for monopolizing Grant’s time and disregarding the rest of the contestants.
