In the Semifinal round of the 2026 Walter Cup playoffs, the No. 2 seeded Boston Fleet will face off against the No. 4 seed Ottawa Charge in their home court.
Currently, both teams stand to gain the advantage in this best-of-five series. Boston started strong with a 2-1 win on home ice last Thursday, but the Charge delivered a crushing 3-1 blow this past Saturday.

Only one team in the PWHL, the Vancouver Goldeneyes, permanently has their logo on the ice, with Ottawa’s logo appearing the next most frequently. Many fans are pushing for more logos on the ice to promote viewership the PWHL.

The PWHL is Expanding to Detroit!

The league officially announced on May 6 that next season, a team will be hosted in the Motor City. Though no official name has been announced for the team, the league announced that they will play out of Little Caesars Arena. Detroit has had a long history with professional hockey, and this next expansion into the PWHL will hopefully bring new fans into the sport!

The goal scorer of the night, Ottawa’s #71 Fanuza Kadirova, is a forward from Kukmor, Russia. She placed 4th with the Russian Women’s Hockey team in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics and at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
